Stay Connected with Terra Centre Elementary

Terra Centre is fortunate to be supported by a community that strongly believes in partnering in the education of our students.  There are numerous opportunities throughout the year to volunteer! Here are some of the ways...

WATCH DOGS (Dads of Great Students)Watch Dogs icon

  • Who are Watch DOGS? Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year at Terra Centre.  You will wear a Watch DOG shirt, introduce yourself and your child/children on TCTV, shadow your child and assist teachers with lessons, make copies, read with students etc. For more information, contact TC's Head Watch DOG, Shon McCormick, at [email protected]. At the end of your visit, please take the  Watch DOG Survey. When prompted, use code 1138.

Library Volunteers

  • If you would like to volunteer shelving books, reading stories to classes, and or helping with the Fall or Spring Book Fairs, contact Librarian, Allison Petruzzellis at [email protected].

FCPS Cares

FCPS Cares is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees.

Business and Community Partnerships

The Business and Community Partnerships office’s primary functions are to recruit and supports Ignite Partnerships, serve as a liaison to local Chambers of Commerce and other community organizations, help lead the annual Collect for Kids school supply drive, manage the FCPS Donations Portal for donated goods, and promote the Savings for Staff merchant discount program.

In the last decade, the Business & Community Partnerships team has helped secure over ten million dollars in donations of money and valued goods through partnerships and direct donations, not including the value of volunteer hours contributed by partners and mentors.
